2008-12-09 [Alexi Ice]: Yeah that is probably not pretty in the slightest, nor does it probably smell good.
Gangs...LOL that is a great analogy!! ^^
The birds at Disney are bad as well...
2008-12-09 [moira hawthorne]: 9 X out of 10 when humans feed animals or birds they become quite aggressive... the pigeons (about 2000) downtown attacked my son when he dropped a fry.. scared the hell out of him
2008-12-09 [Alexi Ice]: Yeah see, birds are scary..that movie wasn't very far from the truth! Creepy freaking birds...
2008-12-09 [moira hawthorne]: should pimp out... bird photography contest while we are at it
2008-12-09 [Alexi Ice]: I added some photos of evil disney birds, but they arn't very high quality...lol ^^
2008-12-11 [Hedda]: I just changed the file-names to the titles.
2008-12-11 [Flisky]: I didn't want to upload it right onto the page and it be monsterously huge.
So, thank you, [Hedda]!
2008-12-11 [Kahri]: Thanks!
2008-12-11 [Alexi Ice]: ^^ No problem.
2008-12-11 [arthemis_]: Is it allowed to make something 3D?
2008-12-12 [LynnAnneBrown]: [arthemis_] I don't know for sure, but I think that as long as you are actually creating the models yourself and not assembling elements of other peoples models into your work you will be fine. Here is an example of one I made in google sketch up and tweaked in paint.net and inkscape to Illustrate my point.
I created all the elements myself and although I'm not ready to enter any of my models in compitition yet. This was basically and initial experiment to see what I could do. I feel that this would meet the original work criteria if I were to do so.
2008-12-12 [Alexi Ice]: As long as it is 'art' and not photography, I imagine it will be fine.
2008-12-12 [arthemis_]: Eehmmm... I meant more like clay, fabric, stuffed animals... That kind of thing :D
2008-12-12 [LynnAnneBrown]: I still think the same thing applies. If you created the elements of a 3D work you self and submitted a photograph of the art then you are still looking at a piece of Art, and not simply a photograph.
Although, with the criterion that I've seen posted I probably wouldn't include stuffed animals, decorations, etc. unless you had actually made them yourself.
I am thinking though that it might be interesting to have a contest that focused on assemblage pieces like scene setting or collage although technically they are two different artforms and may need to be considered seperately.
2008-12-13 [Alexi Ice]: Oh, I love Sweet shop! Very cute!!! ^^
One second, if you mean 3-D by means of photography, which is in fact art, but not on a medium form of paper and or the computer then no. You should check out the christmas photography competition instead, but things like that are not allowed here.
[LynnAnneBrown] There is a place where you can submit contest ideas, though I am not sure of the WIKI name. IT is posted on mainstreet though, in case you were interested.
2008-12-14 [Grandamelf]: Passing through, checking out the scenery! Very nice! Thank you [Alexi Ice] for commenting on my Sweet Shoppe, you are very kind!
2008-12-14 [Artsieladie]: I think it would be cool to have a contest for 3D art and one that isn't necessarily too specific. There is the Crafty Fairytales contest, although it's based around 'fairytales'. :)
Ideas for Competitions can be placed on Elftown Competition Ideas. :)
"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!" Love all the entries! :)
2008-12-14 [FamousPanda]: so we can submit 2 entries for this?
2008-12-14 [Artsieladie]: Yepper! Main page - Christmas Art Competition:
3. EACH MEMBER MAY SUBMIT TWO (2) ENTRIES.
Is someone contemplating another entry? :D Is it possible that you like pandas? *winks* They're so cute! :)
2008-12-14 [FamousPanda]: yes i would love to do another entry
